Compers News Benefits - Winners Lists

Hello again compers!  How is your week going, any nice wins to report?  I won a very local competition on Facebook this week – a £10 for the coffee shop on Cowes High Street!  Not sure how many entries there were, but will be a nice coffee and cake outing with the children at the weekend!  School is nearly finished here, and then we are really into the Christmas festivities!  I think we are

Chatterboxers Working Together

Hello again compers!  How is your week going, any nice wins to report?  A couple of wins here since last time – a deodorant stick from the Soft & Gentle facebook instant, and my first ever Instagram win!  I won a lovely set of Sylvanian Families figures and accessories - my eldest daughter loves these, so she will be extremely chuffed when Santa brings these this year.  What is the weather like where you are?

Compers News Member Offer - Make Your Own Personalised Postcards

Hello again compers! How is your week going, any nice wins to report? A few bits here including a Lauren Pope (of TOWIE “fame”) jumper in a twitter comp, a lunchbox and some stationery from the Tesco / Capri Sun text comp, a Spode spoon rest from twitter, a Kilner Jar in a Facebook comp and a £50 Debenhams voucher in an instant win comp. I have won a few stationery prizes this month, so don’t think we will ever be short of a pen in our house! I am going to save some of the nicest bits back, and use them as stocking fillers for my girls, who both love craft items.

Puzzling for Prizes

Hello again compers!  How is your week going - any nice wins to report?  Two small wins for me on Friday (a Forever Friends keyring on twitter, and an Aloe Vera gel from Holland & Barrett on Facebook), but nothing since.  Not far off the end of month comps now though, so having some nice comping sessions in the evenings.  Has the weather been cooler where you are this week?  It has felt decidedly fresher on the morning school runs here, but to be honest I am quite pleased.  I am enjoying the cooler evenings too – so much more cosy to snuggle up on the sofa on a

Chatterbox Magazine Exchange

Hello all again!  How has your week been, any nice new wins to report?  August has continued to be a very dry month for me in terms of wins, but it really has been very enjoyable having the children home – even if it has meant working some strange hours and cram-working in certain weeks, just to fit it all in.  Secretly quite looking forward to regaining some routine and order now – how about you?  We are away on the Mainland visiting relatives this week, returning on Sunday night, so have had to be super-organised getting everything ready for school before we came

Super Summer Savings - Long Term Subscription Offer

Hello again compers!  Well, half way through July already, doesn’t seem possible does it – where is this year going?  Summer festivities are almost upon us here on the Island – one more week until both my children are off for the long 6 week break!  I have been busily squirreling away free colouring sheets, workbooks, small summer competition wins such as craft kits, beach balls and kites.  I have also been squirreling the pennies away to help budget for the summer too – all those ice creams, orange juices and picnic supplies soon add up!  Except for the Christmas

The Wonderful Windex Database

Hello again all!  How are you enjoying the summer weather so far?  Has there been any sun yet where you live?  Have you been spending more evenings sat outside, or weekend out enjoying the dry weather – rather than spending time indoors entering comps?  I know I have been!  I don’t think I managed more than about 25 comps over the whole course of last weekend, as we were barely at home!  During these times, it is often a good idea to dedicate some of your comping time to lower entry, more skill based comps – such as slogans and tie breakers.  And, following on from

Three ways to be part of the comping community

Comping isn't a hobby that you need to share with other people if you don't want to. It's easy to start being a comper, simply by entering competitions - you don't even have to tell anyone about it, if you don't want to!

It's not like football, say, where there's a good chance you're only ever going to get the most out of the pastime as part of a group or a team.
