The magazine group of titles, "How it Works" had a relaunch with a format geared towards children studying Key Stage 2. It is called History of the World and is quite expensive at £6.99, but it is a lovely magazine. The editor decided to run three launch competitions on Twitter. For each competition you had to buy the magazine and take a "selfie" in various places.

A Pizza restaurant called Zizzi ran a competition on their website to win a £100 meal voucher. For a chance to win, you had to upload a video of yourself spinning a pizza base. There were only two entries, both Compers News subscribers! Both members had asked the question about winner notification on the Zizzi website, their facebook page and their Twitter account, but received no response. I sent them a recorded delivery letter explaining the guidelines about winner notification, but this was also ignored.

Mrs R contacted me about a children's competition in Transformers Magazine, part of the Titan magazines group. The prize was ten Autobot books. Children had to colour the picture in the magazine of a "Rescue Bot", construct the Bot, and then take a photo of it with the child entrant. This photo should then be uploaded to Twitter - phew, plenty of effort needed there then! There were twenty prizes on offer and Mrs R had made the usual enquiries about winners but was ignored.
