Something For The Weekend - Prince's On-Pack Promotions

Hello again happy compers!  How has your week been?  Productive?  Relaxing? Ready for the weekend now – I know I am!  Got any big plans this weekend, or just unwinding from a busy week?  Cowes week finishes up here this weekend, so we will be off to watch the famous fireworks display tonight, as well as a display by some RAF Typhoons and the Red Arrows.  The rest of the weekend will be chilled out, and hopefully catching up on some comping, which has rather gone by the wayside this last week or so.  Getting withdrawal symptoms hehe.

This time of year I don’t tend to do as much cooking as at other times – a combination of not wanting to be in a hot kitchen, not having the time to meal plan properly, and being outside more than usual all mean that I tend to go for more cold meal options, or those with a prepared element.  Is this the same for you?  Will you be reaching for some canned goods while shopping this weekend, I know I will be.  If so, Prince’s foods are running 2 HUGE on-pack promotion that you can take part ins

If you are an avid Great British Bake Off viewer, then this could be the competition for you!  If you pick up a promotional can of fruit filling, and enter the special code online, you could be in with the chance of winning 1 of 10 Baking weekends worth over £1,000!  The prize includes travel to and from London for you and a friend, hotel accommodation and a baking masterclass experience.  There are also 50 runners up prizes to be won, consisting of £250 of Lakeland vouchers to purchase baking equipment and accessories.  This promotion is running until 31st July 2015, so plenty of time to get buying and baking.

The other on-pack promotion being run is aimed at families, and those who love adventure.  Pick up a promotional can of Prince’s hot dogs this weekend, and you could be winning 1 of 100 Tree Top adventures with Go Ape.  Enter the spcial code online by 30th June 2015, and you could win a family adventure for 1 adult and 2 children for a 2-3 tree top adventure involving swings, rope ladders and wooden tunnels, worth £80.  There are also 5,000 runners up prizes to be won, consisting of  a Princes Summer Activity Kit with mini kite, mini boomerang and beach ball.  So whatever you are planning on cooking up this weekend, pop a Prince’s Foods can into your trolley, and you could be winning big!  Do let us know how you get on with this promotion, we would love to hear of some winners.

On the baking and cooking theme, here are a few other current comps to whet your appetite:

  • Are you still using a basic hand mixer for making those family cakes?  Would a Kitchen Artisan stand mixer make your life easier – I know it would mine!  Woman & Home Magazine are giving one away, plus a copy of “The Art of Baking Blind”.  Simply visit the website and answer the question (Our advice – Sarah Vaughan) by midnight on Saturday 9th August 2014 to be entered to win.
  • Do you love getting the kids in the kitchen with you, and cooking up a storm?  My girls love cooking – anything and everything – and I know they would love me to win the prize being offered by the Chelsea Mamma blog.  They have a Betta Living Kids in the Kitchen set up for grabs, which includes activity sheets and everything you need to cook up some fun in the kitchen.  Enter via the Rafflecopter widget by 10th August 2014 to enter.
  • Would you like a set of personalised Anchor dinner plates, we thought so!  Enter their competition online, create your own perfect Glorious Nothing Day via the app by 1st September 2014 and you could be winning a set!

  •

Maybe your kitchen itself needs an overhaul.  House to Home Magazine have an amazing competition to win £7,500 to spend on a new kitchen!  Answer the question on the website (Our advice – over 22) and enter every day if you like by 16th September 2014 for a chance to win this mammoth prize.

Happy weekend comping, and lots of Lucky Dust to you all.

Hi Kirsty

Your weekend sounds lovely. On a 'no spend weekend' as currently broke; this has forced me to do some cooking. Yorkshire puddings, which I'd never made before, and a pear and blackberry crumble, courtesy of the blackberries that have arrived in the garden.
Other than that, throwing stuff out from my husband's parents house, we now have thousands of clear plastic wallets; went to the paper bank at Tesco which the kids inexplicably thought was great. And we've had the swingball set out, that I won recently.
All the mini footballs (2) and mascots (4) that I won in the GOAL text comp are here now; not too sure what I think of those mascots!
Wrote out 5 plain postcards this morning for the Daily Express Mentathlon and I've LOST them! Though if I write them out again, I'll probably find the first ones.
Just a bit tired today, maybe I'll revive in the morning!

Kathryn

Hi Kathryn

Lovely to hear from you! Have hardly comped at all here since the start of the month, due to Cowes Week and having relatives staying. I got my World Cup Cooler Bag and 4 mascots finally arrive too. I will be getting back into comping tomorrow, when we get our house back to ourselves! Did your postcards turn up in the end?

Good to hear you are making us of some nice wins too!

Right, off to try and move the girls beds back into their bedroom, then out for a last family lunch before they go home on the boat.

Take care!

Kirsty xx
