Compers News Member Offer - Make Your Own Personalised Postcards

Hello again compers! How is your week going, any nice wins to report? A few bits here including a Lauren Pope (of TOWIE “fame”) jumper in a twitter comp, a lunchbox and some stationery from the Tesco / Capri Sun text comp, a Spode spoon rest from twitter, a Kilner Jar in a Facebook comp and a £50 Debenhams voucher in an instant win comp. I have won a few stationery prizes this month, so don’t think we will ever be short of a pen in our house! I am going to save some of the nicest bits back, and use them as stocking fillers for my girls, who both love craft items. Seems that already half my time is spent with Christmas comps at the mo – so many out and about already this year. Will you be celebrating Halloween this week, what are you up to? We don’t celebrate it in the sense of trick or treating or dressing up, but my eldest is off to a Halloween disco on Friday with her best friend, so she will be having some fun there.

Have you had a good browse through the November issue of Compers News yet?  As soon as the digital edition is live I like to settle down with the iPad and go through the short closing date comps.  I also like to make a note of any postcard and plain paper entry comps I want to enter, so I know how many postcards and stamps I am going to need this month.  Have you seen this month’s amazing Member Offer though – it is a really good one!  As a Compers News member you have the opportunity of purchasing the awesome Postcard Stamper, which allows you to make your own postcards, at home, using whatever you like!  You will be amazed how quick and easy it is to use the Postcard Stamper and ink pad to get your own postcard production line going!  Think of the possibilities:

  • Turn Christmas cards into large, colourful, eye-catching postcards instantly!
  • Recycle and reuse all the cardboard packaging we all get through.  How cool would it be to enter a Kellogg’s competition, for example, using a postcard made from a recycled Kellogg’s cereal box!
  • How about using photos as postcards – you can customise which ones you use, and tailor it to the specific comp!
  • Kids and grandkids will love creating their own postcards, and what better way to show promoters some creativity and individuality than to send in their entries on homemade postcards!

So not only will you be doing your bit for recycling by making your own cards and not buying them, but you could genuinely be giving yourself the winning edge by making your entries stand out – especially in smaller, local comps where winners are still picked by hand

The Postcard Stamper is perfect for making 6” x 4” postcards, but due to its unique design it can easily be used to make smaller or larger cards too.  It is a quality, wooden craft stamp and comes with a quality ink pad in a neat, compact case.

But that’s not all!  If you order the Postcard Stamper today you will receive a 20% discount off the recommended price, AND a free gift!  How would you like a set of decorated notelets for you to use in your comping, as personalised invitations, thank you cards or just as a “thinking of you” note to send to someone special.  You get the Postcard Stamper, with the 20% discount, and the decorated notelets for just £14.00!

Stock is limited and orders will be fulfilled on a first come first served basis, so grab your November issue of Compers News and ORDER TODAY!  Never again will you use a boring shop-bought postcard - enter all your comps with personalised, unique, tailored postcards and give yourself the winning edge!

Happy comping everyone, and lots of Lucky Dust to you all!

Hi Kirsty
Feel like I'm chasing my tail lately; comping taking a bit of a back seat. I got a call about the Capri Sun stationery too but it hasn't arrived yet. Has yours? The only other thing I am expecting is a Tshirt from Irwins tools text comp.

We used our prize of tickets to Alton Towers at the beginning of this week, which the kids thought was fab. I wasn't able to connect up any other prizes but Lesley from my Comp group had advised staying in Rugeley; we missed the Premier Inn sale but managed to get a Travelodge for 2 nights for £95.

And Angie had won Vue cinema tickets from Richmond meatballs that she wasn't going to be able to use by the end of October so my mum and I went to see Love, Rosie last week, which was a lovely film, especially as it's far too expensive to go to the pictures without an offer or a win.

And my mum and I are booked up for November to stay in Nottingham on a 2 night break I won. That one includes dinner on one night so we won't have to spent quite so much time dividing life between Wetherspoons and the supermarket, lol. My husband has an app on his phone to say where the nearest Wetherspoons is, it's very useful.

Having a bit of a dry spell, though, so better get comping. Good luck to you

Kathryn

Hi Kathryn,

I know completely what you mean - October has flown past, cant believe it is November tomorrow. My kids are on sleeps countdown to Christmas already, as we don't really do Halloween. Just packed my eldest off with her bestie though to a Halloween party and disco for the afternoon, and hubby has taken the youngest out to do some chores so I can do some work and comping.

Havent received my Caprti Sun win yet, am waiting on quite a few bits which is really annoying. Have had a few nice wins in the second half of this month including a lovely Spode spoon rest and tea spoon, a Lauren Pope from TOWIE jumper, a running head torch, a Fimo play set and a Kilner jar to name a few lol.

Sounds like your win of Alton Towers went down well, and that a great price on the hotel too! Agree cinema is far ti expensive to go on a regular basis without a deal or a win. We usually go as a family before Christmas, butt that's a Christmas holidays treat really. You will have a great time away with your mum too! Hubby and I have tickets for Riverdance in December, but looking at it logically logistically it may not work and we may have to get rid of the tickets. Such a shame as we love the show, but it is a 7pm start so someone would not only have to babysit but feed the girls and put them to bed, and we don't really have anyone to ask to do all that. Ah well, always next tie.

Right best make the most of an empty house, happy comping everyone!

Kirsty xx
