WIN a £50 Shopping Voucher (CLOSED)

Hello compers!  How was your weekend, any nice wins to report?  Two more prizes for me last week – a Richard & Judy Book Club set from WH Smith on Twitter and a Chicco 123 Baby Walker from a blog comp.  Well and truly back into the throw of things now with school, work, clubs and housework - Christmas already seems like quite a long time ago doesn’t it!  Hard to believe we are nearly half way through January already though, this year is going just as quickly as the last one.  Before we know it we will be in February – exciting times for us as my youngest turns 5, and my eldest heads off on her first school residential trip!  I am back into my comping groove now, how about you?  Are you managing to stick with your comping resolutions thus far?  Mine was to focus on comps I really want to win, and so far I am managing to stick with it!

We are in the quietest time for competitions at the moment, as promoters take a break after the madness that was the advents and December as a whole.  That being said there are still tons of fantastic competitions still available to be entering.  Here at Compers News we like to keep your comping going, even throughout the quieter months, so here is your monthly exclusive competition just for Compers News members!  This month we want to know all about your favourite win of 2014 – doesn’t have to be big or fancy, just the one prize that really made your comping worth it last year!  For me it would probably have to be the £200 Liz Earle Ultimate Hamper I won on their Facebook tie-breaker comp.  It was such a luxurious treat, something that I would never have bought for myself, that it just encompassed for me what comping is all about – being able to own things or experiences that we wouldn’t normally be able to afford.  For telling us your favourite 2014 win you could be bagging yourself £50 of either Tesco or Sainsbury’s shopping vouchers!  To enter this comp all you need to do is drop me a comment below before the closing date of 23:59 on Tuesday 20th January 2014, and I will choose my favourite winner after this time.  One entry per person please, and remember that comments are moderated and won’t appear immediately.

So get thinking and let me know about all your fantastic 2014 wins, and Compers News could be helping to stock up your kitchen cupboards very soon!

Happy comping and lots of Lucky Dust to you all!

Kirsty x

Mine has got to be £500 of Co-op vouchers , didn't buy anything really extravagant ( unless you count a bottle of Baileys!) but it certainly eked out my budget for a while! I didn't even have to do anything creative to win it, just a prize draw from Gransnet but I was so grateful :)

My favourite win of 2014, also one of the first comps I ever entered, was a lovely sparkly bracelet from Links of London was very lucky to win from a Twitter competition from November. No wins in 2015 just yet but i'm keeping fingers crossed!

A meal in a Michelin star restaurant. Hubby and I were very nervous and didn't really have a clue but the staff were wonderful and never made us feel uncomfortable. Not sure I would want to eat like that all the time.

My favourite win from 2014 was a £200 gift voucher from Aviva [on Facebook]. I used it towards a tall larder fridge that now means that I can fit everything in the fridge after a shop. I've wanted to buy one for ages, but I just don't have the funds for non-essential items [and the old fridge was still working]. As it was bought with vouchers that were a win, it's just like a prize. Of course, now I have the opposite problem as the fridge always looks empty!

Hi
I'm new to comping but was so excited when I won a chocolate prize ( I love chocolate), spent 2 weeks telling my kids it could be huge and they even did their home work fast and helped with chores so they could share, when it arrived well to say I was disappointed was an understatement it was the smallest bar from cadburys I was so disappointed.
My daughter who is now 9 months has won 3 prizes including an organix food hamper and toy. She has done better than me and can't even talk, not fair. Maybe this will be my year (can't let her beat me again).

My best win of 2014 is a holiday prize I haven't taken yet so after looking through what I had won in 2014 - some lovely things - I am going to choose £50 from the Daily Express mentathlon because I spent it on a lovely little garden table and chairs and they have given me so much pleasure. Having somewhere nice to sit in the garden and watch the sunsets is so lovely.

I won the stylist/shortlist competition in association with Starbucks back in December. this was a creative competition where you had to upload a picture of your ideal thing to do at Christmas.
For the life of me i can't remember which picture i uploaded! but i was so surprised when i received a wtc to say i had won and would i be prepared to go to London in 4 days time! well hell yeah!

The prize was valued at £1,000 and consisted of a 2 night stay in the Waldorf with breakfast for 2 people, 2 x tickets to see Memphis the musical with Beverly Knight, which was brilliant as she has an amazing voice, £250 to spend on a meal at Brasserie Zedel in Picadilly Circus, 2 x tickets to go Ice skating at the National history museum, which i gave to another family as the last time i done my Jane Torvill routine at the local ice rink i badly broke my wrist!. all in all it was an amazing prize which gave me an opportunity stay at a gorgeous hotel which i would never be able to afford myself, it made mine and hubbies Christmas.

So the moral to my story is never to give up with your comping the big prizes do come if you persevere!

wonderful win to South Africa- go next month- after a dreadful year this is so needed-

As a keen gardener I was amazed to win one of the few competitions for tickets to The Shrewsbury Flower Show in 2014. We had an amazing time at the show, the weather was glorious, the show outstanding, we even got front row seats to see Tom Kerridge in the celebrity chef demonstration. A real treat!!

£1000 gift voucher for John Lewis has to be my favourite win for 2014, just crept in before Christmas. Looking forward to spending that this year, never shopped in JL before as it is usually out of my price range so can't wait to see what I can get.

it was a win I had during the advent competitions and it was with Argos - On the money and I won 500 pound worth of Argos vouchers on day three,. Each day you had to select items from the Argos catalogue and get as close to £500 as possible and I scored £499.99 so I was closest on that day. Enabled me to purchase the majority of my Christmas presents so that was a fantastic prize.

I won family trips to Alton Towers and Disneyland which were both amazing!

I won a 10 can pack of Fosters lager from Booze Busters during the world cup. Not my biggest prize but I told a guy I liked about it & he offered to help me out with them, it was the start of something wonderful, 6 months later we're still dating & he's caught the comping bug too. Who knew a small win could make such a big difference.

I wish I had one.

A Holly Willoughby duvet set and throw from House to Home. A beautiful grey and silver colour that I would never have picked myself but which goes brilliantly with my bedroom decor.

My favourite win for 2014 was A Bloody Mary Kit from Lea & Perrins. Not a huge win, I just loved the the packaging and the prize was just brilliant. All boxed in a bright orange box .

My favourite win was a walking outfit-complete with coat, hat, gloves, socks and shoes. I felt so 'matching' when I went out to walk the dog!!!

My 32GB iPad I won early last year. For 3/4 years I had been trying for an iPad and when, I think it was TicTacs, were giving away one daily I scoured every shop in the area to find promotional packs but they didn't appear until weeks later and too late. I was fortunate enough to come across a very short lived comp on twitter (not even a full day) and I won! I had just recently retired early so what start it was to my new found freedom and of course I wouldn't have won it had I been at work.

My favourite win was a Lavazza coffee machine. It was my first photo comp and although I didn't win the Wimbledon tickets I was over the moon that someone had looked at my photo and liked it.

I won a gorgeous oak console table. I'm not really that excited my furniture usually but this is so well made!

I won a case of artisan flour from Balchedre Mill (on twitter) and it has rekindled my baking mojo. We've been having lovely freshly baked bread..... and cakes - not a large prize but it's certainly changed our lifestyle!

My favourite win was a rugby Six Nations Weekend, i was allowed to gift it to my Dad which was amazing as I could never afford to give him something like that!
It was 2 nights in a lovely hotel in the centre of Cardiff, match tickets and the next day he took my son to train at Millenium Stadium what was lovely was the PR company sent me a link a few weeks later with hundreds of professional pictures taken on the day!

2014 was not one of my best year for prizes but my favourite win was being chosen as Comper of the Month in Compers News. It was great to see my article and photos in the magazine and the £100 was an added bonus

My favourite win was my washing machine with wilkinsons. Mine was definitely on its last legs, so lovely to win a much needed prize.

Been subscribed to Compers for a good few years now, and have never ever won anything ,so I think its my turn now as the saying goes. I will still subscribe, even if not winning, I'm addictived to Compers. good luck every-one.

I must admit i am not good at winning Comps,The wins i won last year you could count on one hand. But,I have my own little

My favourite prize of 2014 was a wonderful trip to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow that my husband won with Irn Bru. We had a marvellous day watching the gymnastics, both Scotland and England won gold medals that afternoon. Never having been to anything like this before, we thoroughly enjoyed it and the memories will stay with us for a very long time. We were also put up in a 4* hotel overnight which was sheer luxury.

Thanks for all your entries guys, this comp is now CLOSED. A winner will be selected and contacted shortly xx

Congrats to our winner Joanne Farman xx
