Something For The Weekend - Win BBQ Kits with Heinz

Hello again compers!  How was your week, any nice wins to report?  Still no wins for June yet for me, but I remain ever hopeful!  I did have my Nick Junior goody bag turn up from the Twitter party though, and it containing a lovely selection of items including an umbrella, a colouring book and crayons, tote bag, magnetic height chart and a cuddly Dora the Explorer Beanie – lovely gifts to keep back for the summer! 

I sound like a broken record these days but it has been a very busy week this week!  Although the children are back at school this seems to be the busiest school term for activities.  This week has seen my eldest daughter competing in her KS2 sports day, and doing rather well!  She isn’t a very athletic child, but still managed to win 2 second places (netball and chain relay), one third (skipping) and a fourth (activity run) for her House, and her House even won the cup!  It will be the turn of our youngest in a few weeks – wish her luck!

Did you know that last week was National BBQ week?  What a great subject to dedicate a whole week too, don’t you agree?  There were tons of competitions across social media giving away all manner of BBQ related prizes including BBQs themselves, utensils, cook books and food items.  There is a great on-pack promotion being run by Heinz on this theme too at the moment.  On a monthly basis from May until the end of August 2015 Heinz are giving away lovely BBQ kits – totalling 100 every month!  Pick up a promotional pack of Heinz sauce or Baked Beans and you could be winning a BBQ kit containing a chef’s hat, apron, mit, tongs and a selection of sauces – perfect for getting the family out in the garden and around the BBQ this summer.  To join in all you need to do is to enter your details online at www.heinz.co.uk/win (no unique code necessary).  Entries for the June draw close at midnight on 30^th June, July’s runs until 31^st July 2015 and August until 31^st August 2015.  Winners will be notified by email within 28 days of the relevant draw being made, and entries will not be carried across to the next month.  One entry per person per month, you may only win one prize over the course of the promotion and make sure you keep your receipt in case you win – good luck!

In honour of National BBQ week here are a few more BBQ and garden competitions for you to try this weekend:

• Need something to keep the little people occupied while you cook the BBQ food and serve the drinks?  The Growing Family blog is giving away a bundle of garden toys worth £20 including a bouncy hopper, water gauntlets and a water blaster!  To enter you need to tweet the specified message and leave a blog comment before the closing date of 23:59 on 12^th June 2015.
