Something For The Weekend - Win Your Own Woodland

Hello again compers!  How was your week?  Any nice wins to report?  Still pretty quiet here, as not ramped up to full comping speed yet.  My youngest started reception this week, as you know, and today is her first full day – hurrah!  Did your little ones start or go back to school this week?  Any tears?  All gone quite smooth here so far, no tears just two very tired children (and parents, come to think of it)!  I can cope with that though, just means lots of lovely quiet evenings to be spent comping – hurrah! 

One of the things I have tried to concentrate on running up to the start of school, is getting us all back into healthy eating habits.  I don’t know about you, but in our house by the end of the summer holidays we have all had our fill of eating too many snacks, not enough fruit and veg and too many al-fresco drinkies for the adults.  I have made a conscious effort to reintroduce lots of lovely homemade things to our diet – bread machine has been churning out wholemeal loaves for us all, homemade banana and oat muffins for lunchboxes, lots of fresh fish, barrow-loads of fruit and veg and back onto healthy cereals at breakfast – sugar-coated varieties have been banished for the time-being!
