You've already arrived at one of the best places on the net for competition fans - Compers News' website.
But we thought it was only right to give a nod to Compers News' publisher Accolade's ThePrizeFinder site, another compers paradise!
The site's present editor, Steve Higson, established it more than ten years ago, back in 2001 - that's a long time, especially in digital years!
We thought it would be a good time to mention ThePrizeFinder as it is that time of year where the world of comping goes Advent crazy.
At ThePrizeFinder we have the best source of Advent competitions with over 400 listed on the site
You will not find more on any other comping site, what is more you can track your entries on a daily basis, all you have to do is register on the site for FREE to use our superb competition tracker.
The site is simple-to-navigate, but if you're new, let us take you through some of its fantastic features…
Comps, comps, comps
Okay, so as a comper, you're going to be interested in tools for learning about fresh comps. Well, ThePrizeFinder specialises in online comps, and it does its job brilliantly.
Click the Competitions tab to be taken to a list showing a range of recent dates. When we wrote this blog, it was December 3rd, meaning this was the most recent date show. As the site explained, clicking on this link took us to the comps that had been added to the site the same day.
And what a treasure trove! You could have a remarkable few hours' comping just by working through that list, we imagine!
And just like comps in Compers News, they are all laid out in a fabulously accessible way, you could just start at the top of page one and enter all the comps that take your fancy as you scroll through the pages.
Another great tool you can use on the site is the list to the left of the screen called Competitions By Category.
There are useful links here - for example one that leads to a 'Closing Soon' comps section for competitions with imminent ends, and another that leads to 'Top Prizes' comps: Steve Higson's selection of the best the site has to offer.
As mentioned we have our 'Advent Comps', these will also appear on the New Competitions page on the day that they're added.
Facebook, Twitter and Skills comps all have their own sections accessible from this list of links, too, as do television comps and Instant win opportunities. The Postal Comps link will kindly direct you towards Compers News!
If you're looking for a certain kind of prize, the list of links below the Competitions by Category bank allows you to narrow the comps listed on the site down based on what you could win, for example holidays and prizes for the kids.
What else is there on the site?
The site also lets you register as a member if you wish, meaning you can make use of its Comp Tracker tool - which is a great organisational feature for keencompers.
Oh, and by the way, registering enters users into a massive comp which boasts the likes of iTunes vouchers and a MacBook Pro among its prizes.
A How To Win Competitions section features some advice about comping generally and ThePrizeFinder more specifically, while a Winners section features some heartwarming winning tales.
There's also a blog from Compers News legend Di Coke.
Phew! So that's the basics on ThePrizeFinder, there's nothing left to do but follow this link and take a look for yourself! If you've yet to try it, it really could become a great new comping tool, alongside the wonderful Compers News and our brilliant digital extras.
Why not start by adding it as a favourite site, so you can find it easily. Then you could resolve to set aside some time each day or couple of days to take a look back. That way, you'll be less likely to forget to make use of the site and enter the great comps it has on offer. Another great tip is to connect with the site via its Twitter and Facebook presences.
