Something For The Weekend - Win an Xbox One with Skittles

Hello everyone!  How was your week, any nice wins to report?  Nothing else to report here, but it has been a very busy week getting ready for the imminent onset of school.  After trying on what seemed like every size 12, 12.5 and 1 brogue on the Isle of Wight my eldest finally has school shoes – hurrah!  We have been busy working hard to try and squeeze in one last camping trip too, weather-dependant!  I have mixed emotions about the summer coming to an end: on the one hand it will be lovely to get our days back and return to some normality and routine, but on the other it has been good fun having adventures like camping and learning to swim over the summer which will be put back on hold for a while now.  Still, with autumn just around the corner I can legitimately start to get excited about my favourite season of the year – Christmas!  Yes, you may balk but I need that whole 3-4 months to get myself organised and spread the cost, jobs and workload so I can enjoy the season!

The weather has been fairly pants here the last week or so on the Island, with more rain than I ever care to see when the children are at home.  We have done our best to keep everyone active even though the sun has been hiding, by going swimming as often as we can and using the Wii when we are at home.  The girls are at a nice age now where they can both sensibly use the Wii and navigate most games unaided, meaning they get much more out of their weekly sessions on the console and it also introduces some great competitive spirit!
