Something For The Weekend - Win Colourful High-top Trainers with Bulmers

Hello everyone!  How was your week, any nice wins to report?  Just one win for me this week, but I really can’t moan as I have finally won a holiday prize!!  Yes, you read that correctly, after years of trying I have finally won an overnight stay at a bed & breakfast in Oxfordshire, which also includes a two hour vineyard and brewery tour and tasting – the prize is worth about £150 so really rather pleased!  I missed the first email from the company (Mills & Boon), but fortunately for me they sent a subsequent email to chase me up for my details.  The break needs to be booked by September, so we are now busily trying to arrange a weekend when my parents can have the kiddos, and me and the hubby can have a romantic mini-break all on our own!  Just goes to show, persistence really does pay off, and if we all think positive thoughts and put in the hours then it is very possible for us all to win prizes that we will really love!

Hubby and I opened a bottle of prosecco on Wednesday night to celebrate the win, but I must confess that a cheeky half a lager or a bottle of cider is our usual tipple and we usually don’t drink in the week at all.  We do need to pick up some bottles of cider to take away with us this weekend, so I will make sure to keep an eye out for promotional bottles of Bulmers cider when I go shopping.  As part of their #LiveColourful promotion, Bulmers are giving away 5,000 pairs of personalised Converse high-top trainers worth £60 each!  To enter you need to purchase a promotional bottle and snap a photo of it with your smartphone – please note that the flash needs to be on and the bottle cap needs to be removed for the photo to work.  If the word “win” appears and sparkles on the photo then you are a lucky winner – hurrah!  Note down the unique code from the bottle and share your winning photo via social media sing the #LiveColourful hashtag - Winners will then be contacted via email to make their choice from personalised trainer options.  The promotion is running until 23:59 on December 31st 2015, so you have plenty of time to enjoy a cool, refreshing cider and try and win a fabulous prize at the same time!

If fashion is your passion here are some other great competitions for you to have a go at this weekend:

Hi Kirsty
Well done on your win, nothing like a trip away. Was thinking I hadn't won trips this year but we went to San Franciscoin March courtesy of a win from last year and I won £1000 which is taking the four of us to Amsterdam (flights and accommodation, no food) in a week or so.
Good luck with your arrangements!
I tried to win things for the holidays but wasn't really successful, other than £10 Vue cinema gift card. I also bought £32 Vue cinema giftcard for £20 courtesy of swaps on chatterbox. We went to see The Minions that rainy week but tbh, there hasn't been that much on at the pictures. Won a Minions sticker book that the little one is very taken with.
Nobody really fancied Inside Out tho after (finally) winning an Aquafresh brushtime kit, little one may change her mind.
We also entered as many kids comps as we could from Superluckydi's site but to no avail.
Gave up trying to win days out/trips yesterday and hid playpeople all over the house, then made a list of jobs (dusting, setting table, making beds etc). As each job was done, a playperson should be located and presenting that playperson to me meant they got to choose from the 'reward' list (we went to the park, we painted, they chose a snack - at appropriate time, obviously - and one reward was £1 each. This was for my two and their cousin and actually, they thought it was great. Then the girls had a sleepover at my mum's for 2 nights.
Today I took everyone with me to bank stuff for the business and to buy curtains (our sitting room has been looking rather bare for a few months and Ponden Mill had a sale on).
I did intersperse this with a trip to Wetherspoons for lunch (no comps but the girls drew pictures for the wall), then we found some family fun activities so the girls made whales with my mum whllst my son and I went up the escalators in the Vue cinema in Gateshead then sat watching them from their window. No comps tho except the Fruitshoot Disneyland Paris one that I'd already entered.
Finally I let them choose a few things at Wilkinsons - tho strangely, no-one chose shoe polish for the Kiwi comp.
We had a junior version of our comp meet on Thursday as it's school holidays and came away with a load more kids comps. Some were out of date but the girls had a whale of a time with them anyway.
I just don't know what to do first - Compers News, Twitter, my emails or the packs from the comp meets. I just know I'll have fun whatever I choose!
Good luck!
