Creative Easter Comps

Hello again compers!  How is your week going, any nice wins to report?  Just one more win for me since we last spoke – a goody bag from Promotional Merchandise in their online scavenger hunt.  I am not sure what the prize entails, but I will let you know once it turns up!  Easter holidays have started here too; do you have little ones home at the moment as well?  Often feels like we are juggling lots of balls during the school holidays doesn’t it – we need to keep work, the children, housework, time for husbands and wives and time for comping and other fun all up in the air at one time, and it can be very difficult and tiring.  I think me and the hubby will be well and truly burnt out by the end of the Easter holidays!

The Easter bank holiday is looming too isn’t it – will you get a few days off from work to enjoy the time with family, I do hope so!  I am planning on trying to get reasonably ahead so that we can enjoy some family activities too.  My husband takes the lead on childcare during the holidays, so I know he will have some fabulous crafting activities lined up for the girls for when the weather is inclement.  Easter is always a great time for creative competitions, so I will make sure that he is aware of all the great creative comps that involve craft activities too, as an added extra incentive for the girls to do their best.  On the creative comping theme here are some of the best Easter related creative comps I have come across so far this year:

  • While you are enjoying all your lovely Easter food and family fun activities this Easter make sure to snap some good photos, and you can enter them into the Waitrose Good Egg competition.  Waitrose will be giving away all manner of Easter treats including Heston from Waitrose Golden Easter eggs, cookery school vouchers, food hampers and Waitrose vouchers.  To enter you need to submit your Easter photos and videos using the #GooodEgg hashtag via Twitter, Instagram or Vine by the closing date of 23:59 on 6th April 2015, to be in with a chance of winning one of the daily prizes – entries are not limited to one per person, so snap away!
  • How do you fancy getting your hands on £1,000 to spend with Boden – sounds great doesn’t it!  Enter their Pinterest Easter egg hunt and you could be splashing out on clothes for the whole family.  To enter you need to follow them on Pinterest and pin at least eight Easter eggs to a board called “Boden Easter Egg Hunt” – the eggs are hidden across their website.  Full instructions can be found on the competition Pinterest post, and entries need to be in by midnight on 6th April 2015, so get hunting!
  • Do you like caption contests?  I have had a few good successes with this type of competition and I will definitely be entering the one being held at the moment by Questor Insurance.  They are giving away a £50 chocolate bundle and a travel insurance policy, and all you need to do is caption the Easter photo via Facebook or Twitter by the closing date of midnight on 6th April 2015, so get your thinking caps on.
  • If you will be enjoying some Easter baking this Bank Holiday, take lots of photos of your best creations and you could be winning a whole bundle of catering and baking goodies.  Enter the competition being run by Cater For You on Twitter by tweeting them your Easter themed cakes and cupcakes by the closing date of midnight on 8th April 2015, and you could be cooking up a storm!
  • A great comp to keep the kiddies occupied this Easter is being run by Ocean Finance.  If your little person (aged 0-5, 6-8 or 9-12) would like to create an Easter themed masterpiece and would like you to submit it on their behalf via email before the closing date of midnight on 10th April 2015 they could be winning one of six Cadbury chocolate hampers worth £50 each – two winners will be chosen from each age category.
  • Do you like to create a traditional Easter Bonnet every year?  I remember always having fun making these when I was at school, but the pastime seems to have waned somewhat.  If you and the family fancy creating one this Easter Bank Holiday make sure you snap a picture of it and enter it into the competition being run by The Works, and you could be winning a £100 voucher to spend with them, or one of the other runners up prizes on offer.  Submit your photo to their blog (or via social media if you prefer), and tell them a bit about how you made it before the closing date of midnight on 26th April 2015 – one entry per person.

Happy creative comping and lots of Lucky Dust to you all!
