Something For The Weekend - Win a Full Tank of Fuel with Yorkie

Hello compers!  How was your week, any nice wins to report?  Nothing new to report here unfortunately – starting to get a complex now!  Really not having much luck here, but it has been an exceptionally busy week this week – after school clubs, residential trip meetings, assemblies to attend, haircuts etc!  Not making excuses but life has a way of getting in the way of a good session of comping doesn’t it, haha!  Never mind, almost in a new month now and another new start.

There are certain things that we always need to buy aren’t there – for us it is milk, cheese, fruit, cereal and petrol!  We don’t use our car a lot, as we tend to try and do most of our shopping etc on foot, but the car always seem to be needing petrol!  On the weekend shop this week I aim to keep my eyes peeled for promotional bars of Yorkie (hubby’s favourite chocolate bar) as they have a great promotion at the moment giving away 100 x full tank of fuel vouchers worth up to £100 each, hidden as tickets in promotional bars.  There are also 50 more chances to win a full tank online, as well as 1,000s of free Yorkie bars too.  That would take the pressure off a bit wouldn’t it, knowing you had a completely full tank of petrol to be using! I think a full tank would last us a few months here!  To enter the competition pick up a promotional bar and check to see if there is a winning ticket inside.  If you aren’t lucky enough to find one, find the unique code inside the wrapper and enter it online at https://www.yorkie-chocolate.co.uk/2014/Default.aspx to find out instantly if you have won one of the other 50 fuel cards, or 1 of 2,000 Yorkie bars.  To claim a prize you will need to retain your promotional packaging and proof of receipt.  The competition runs until midnight on 31st March 2015, so you have lots of time to find promotional bars and get winning!

On a car-related theme, here are some other competitions for the car lovers in your life

  • With the weather as cold as it is, the Winter Drivers Safety Kit being given away by Redbox Safety Solutions would come in  very handy.  It includes an ice scraper, de-icer, screen wash, torch and other items to help keep you safe in the car this winter.  To enter the competitions answer the questions online (Our advice – £1.75, yellow, 250, Health & Safety Sign Alliance) by midnight on 31st January 2015.
  • How about £100 to spend on car parts and accessories – I know this would be very useful for us right now!  GSF Car Parts are offering this as the prize in their current promotion, and with over 70 branches nationwide there is sure to be one near you.  To enter you need to the Like the Facebook page, and enter via the app.  The competition ends at midnight on 31st January 2015, so get liking.
  • Do you know someone who is a real petrol head, and loves to read about all the new innovations in cars?  Well if you enter this competition on Win Something, you could be winning them a year’s subscription to CAR Magazine worth £54 – this would be a perfect birthday gift for my father!  To enter simply provide your email address at the website, and you can enter once a day until the closing date of 8th February 2015.
  • Is your other half an adrenaline junkie, or maybe you or another family member?  Peldon Rose are giving away an awesome 60 minute Goodwood Drift experience at the moment, where the winner will get the chance to race around the track in a BMW M235i for 60 minutes as well as receive instruction on how to drift safely.  To enter the competition you need to Follow Peldon Rose on twitter, favourite the competition post and tag in a friend too.  Entries close at noon on 12th February 2015.

Happy weekend comping and lots of Lucky Dust to you all!

Hi Kirsty

Nothing more here either; tried to explain to my husband I needed a PAYG for comps and he insisted contract with a limit would be fine. Now whingeing that we've reached the limit really fast. Ever feel no-one listens to you?
As my previous PAYG gave up the ghost and I accidentally threw the sim card out, I haven't been able to enter any text comps and am really missing them.
Haven't been able to get on the PC either (my son shares with me and my daughter shares with my husband but my son also has a Hudl and my husband also has his laptop and his ipad). I have my iphone but the screen is far too small to do much with and my eyes don't like it. So not many email /internet comps entered either.
Can't even moan to my best friend as she has a new boyfriend and is busy (obsessed) with him all the time.
Have tried a few twitter comps and some from superluckydi's site but I really feel it's a lost cause as it never seems to produce any results. also, I'm not that sure what I'm doing - I found this comp to win cheese but I can't find any tweets about the comp to re-tweet (don't know what a timeline is. I'm a technophobe really)

I really need to get on the computer and get going on the Mag Exchange. Hopefully that will happen tonight and I might be able to forget about the headache I've had for days.....
Bring on the prizes - January's finished and February's starting, that's got to be good?
Good luck anyway

Kathryn

Hi Kathryn good to hear from you - happy February! What a shame about your new phone, I am sending winning thoughts for you for a new phone or tablet! I had a look on that twitter comp too and couldn't find a prize post for this month, only for the month just gone. will keep an eye on it! Had my second ever Instagram win at the weekend - and a caption competition too, so am hopeful that diversifying into lesser known comps like Instagram and Pinterest may be the way to go! trying to get back on comping track now as it was my youngest's birthday yesterday and my eldest is off on her school trip next week, so things are almost getting back to normal- until the next thing comes along haha. Actually that next thing will be a secret trip to London we have booked for my sister in law's 40th - taking the kids too but they wont know anything about it til the morning we go and just don't go to school. Will be taking 3 days off work so will be working like a demon to get ahead! That being said I had best get on. Happy comping! Kirsty xx
