Something For The Weekend - Win A Short Break at Center Parcs with The NSPCC

Hello again compers!  How has your week been, any nice wins to report?  A Tinkerbell dress and DVD set here from a twitter party, as well as a Cineworld ticket on a twitter comp.  Another week down and closer to the Big Day!  Do you have much left to do in terms of preparation?  Nothing much here bar wrapping a few gifts, so can really focus on enjoying the season.  The freezer is stocked, the turkey is ordered, let the festivities commence!

If you have little ones have they written their letters to Father Christmas?  We tend to do ours on 1^st December, to give Father Christmas enough time to receive the letter and send a nice response to each of the girls, letting them know he has received it and is busy working hard.  We have been known to give Santa a helping hand with writing his response letter, and there are also lots of commercial organisations that will happily help you too.  However, one of the best that I have seen is offered by the NSPCC charity for children.  If you visit their website you can fully personalise a letter from Father Christmas to each of your children or grandchildren, and the suggested donation of £5 goes to the charity itself.  The letters come with a choice of story which is age appropriate, a place to add their name and friends and even pointers for getting onto or remaining on the Nice List before Christmas!  As an added extra everyone that orders one of these wonderful keepsake letters gets entered into the annual NSPCC Christmas prize draw. This year the winner and up to 5 friends and family members could be heading off to Center Parcs for a midweek or weekend break at any of the five parks in a 3 bedroom Woodland Lodge.  The competition closes at 23:59 on 15^th December 2014 so not long left to order those letters and get entered into the wonderful draw.
