Easter competitions: Not just for chocoholics!

There's no mystery to why Easter competitions often offer up chocolate of one sort or another as a prize - after all, this is an occasion that is very much associated with this sort of treat!

But as we get closer and closer to the long weekend of April 18th to 20th, and to Easter Sunday itself, many competitions are linked to Easter but have prizes that aren't chocolate-themed.

We often think about flowers at Easter time, too, and the Interflora website is currently home to an Easter-tastic short break comp.

Whoever wins this comp, closing date April 13th, not only gets some blooms, but also short break vouchers worth a massive £1,500.

Aimed at adults from the UK, the comp asks people to look around the Interflora website and find eight golden Easter eggs among its pages.

The entrant then has to arrange the letters in these eggs into a flower's name, entering this into an online form.

Whoever wins will be able to take their pick of five UK locations to take their holiday at.

Oh, and, to be completely honest, the flowers the winner will get as part of their prize do actually come with chocolate eggs - so this isn't quite a choc-free Easter comp!

Of course chocolate isn't the only food that's associated with Easter. The English Mum blog is giving away a prize featuring a leg of lamb and other food goodness in a Farmers Choice competition.

This prize will get to whoever wins before Easter, so they can have it on the day itself, if they want to!

There is one main entry route involving leaving a comment on the site and two social media bonus entry routes. See the site for all the details.

Another exciting thing about the upcoming Easter weekend for compers - besides all the Easter competitions that there are around at the moment - is the fact that the time off might give those of us who usually have to work Monday to Friday some extra space to enter comps!

Why not make yourself an Easter weekend plan and spend part of your four day break getting entries in? Here are just some tips that might be able to help you have a comp-tastic Easter break.
