Have you been seeking out comps to put you in the spirit of Valentine's Day? Now that February is here, if you fancy a bit of themed comping, why not seek out some romance or Valentine's flavoured comps and try your luck?
A watch might not be the first thing you think of when it comes to Valentine's Day, although it could be that you spend some of February 14th thinking about the time you've spent with your other half or looking forward to times to come with them!
That said, there's a great current Valentine's Day comp underway from watch company Swatch.
The creative comp, as you can find out here, has the main prize of a 2,000-euro travel voucher.
Entrants send in a photo to take part in the comp, and you can find the details on the website. The T&Cs are here - as always, it's wise to check them out!
As these explain, the closing date of the comp is February 10th this year, just before Valentine's Day itself.
Ten winners all get a special Swatch Valentine's Day watch and one of them, the top winner, gets the travel voucher. Over 18s can enter, on a single-entry per person basis.
As you would imagine, the Swatch comp is far from the only Valentine's Day-flavoured competition that's out there at the moment.
Like watches, cheese might not be traditionally associated with Valentine's Day, but there is a Valentine's Day comp linked to it.
A Valentine's Day Cheese Box is on offer if you win this The Cheese Shed comp - the prize features a heart shaped cheese that is, admittedly, more reminiscent of Valentine's Day than your average slab of cheddar or Wensleydale! It's an email comp, closing date February 6th.
Chocolates, of course, are one thing that definitely ARE associated with Valentine's Day! And so it seems appropriate that Hotel Chocolat are running a choc-tastic comp with a closing date of February 14th.
There are runners-up prizes of Cocoa Juvenate Collection Hampers, as well as a main prize of a seven-night holiday in lovely St Lucia. The prize is a trip for two, with the holidaymakers staying on a cocoa plantation on the island.
Staying in the world of chocolate, Thorntons Love Recipes is currently offering the chance to win a two person trip to Thornton Park.
The comp, the winner of which will be picked after Valentine's Day, asks people to share their favorite "romantic chocolate recipe for two".
The winner will be able to see chocolate making in action, meet a master chocolatier and get plenty of chocolate into the bargain.
Another item very much linked to Valentine's Day is most people's minds is flowers.
If you head to the Interflora Facebook page, you can click through to a comp run by Meltwater Promotions, with a prize of no less than 100 red roses (swoon), as well as a two-person trip to - you guessed it - Paris on offer.
Often thought of as a very romantic place indeed, Paris is of course home to places like the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre Museum, as well as the Musee Grevin, a famous waxwork attraction.
One thing you might fancy doing on Valentine's Day is lighting a romantic candle or two.
Until February 7th, there's the chance to win a Valentine's Pop-up candle at Firebox.
There are four to be given away, with people asked to explain who would be their ideal date for Valentine's in order to enter.
The special thing about these candles is that one in 50 of them has a heart shaped diamond in it.
If you end up winning one of these comps, be sure to let Compers News know - it could lead to your trip being mentioned in the mag, which is always exciting!
