Food and drink comp round-up

Comps linked with food and drink brands are a common way to try your luck and potentially win a prize.

Sometimes they require you to buy the product in question, but other food and drink comps can be entered via social media or elsewhere these days, without the need to shell out on the product itself.

Here are just some of the food and drink brand comps we've spotted going on at the moment:  

Nando's crisp comp

There's the opportunity to grab free concert tickets in a Nando's comp that's currently underway.

Linked to a new-look revamp for Peri-Peri Groove Cut Potato Chips, customers are getting an opportunity to win tickets on a daily basis over a 12 week period, according to a story on the Talking Retail website. 

Look out for the crisps in Sizzling Hot, Smokey BBQ and Spicy Chicken varieties, in both smaller and larger packs.

To enter, compers need to buy a promotional bag of the crisps - with more details available on-pack.  

This is not the only crisp comp that's underway at the moment, either.

Tyrrells and Walkers

Tyrrells' 'Ridiculous Prize' comp is still going, and is again linked to promotional packs. Providing the opportunity to win £25 grand, it could well be worth entering for any comper who likes the sound of this amount of cash!

And Gary's Great Ingredient Hunt packs from Walkers are still on the shelves, too.

Unfortunately, all of the £10,000 prizes in this comp have now been grabbed by lucky winners, according to the Walkers website, where you can find out more about the comp. 

But remember there are other rewards too, with one promised with every promotional pack. Players use an on-pack code to take part, either via an internet game or text. Prizes include cinema vouchers, high street shop vouchers and free crisps.

Drink Facebook comps

Elsewhere in the land of food and drink comps, San Pellegrino's Facebook pagehas a comp underway.

After liking the page, people are able to answer a simple question about the brand, and add their details to take part. The comp ends on January 14th 2014, at midnight.

There are runner-up prizes of SMEG fridges, while the first prize is a two person Italian cooking trip to ALMA.

While they're on Facebook, compers could head over to the Tango page to take part in an Anchorman 2 themed competition, too.

One of the prizes on offer is tickets for the UK premiere of this film, which stars people like Paul Rudd and Will Ferrell.

Presented with a cartoon picture, players have to click a spot on it that they think premiere tickets are hiding to enter.

The premiere itself takes place December 11th this year - and there are ten sets of tickets to win.

Social media is a great place to spot comps from your favourite brands - food and drink related or otherwise - and these are often simple and quick to enter, making them a tempting prospect for compers.

Why not check for them whenever you head to Facebook or Twitter for a browse?

On either site, the search bar is one good way to navigate your way to a brand's page - but remember to check you're on an official page, or have found an official profile.

Following or Liking can keep you updated with what brands are up to, including comps they might be running.
